Normally I read a book and then give it away… but not “Oh Shift.” This is the type of book you need to keep for reference and have multiple copies on hand to give away. It’s an easy, fun read; and when I say easy and fun, just open the book to any page and you’ll know what I mean.
The author brings her personality out of the book in a variety ways. I personally appreciate all of the experiences she shares about herself, her friends and people she works with. It’s a very REAL book wit…

They say that Laughter is the best medicine and when you add in a profound but easy way to “Shift” yourself to a whole new level, you really have the total package. Jennifer Powers book “Oh, Shift” is that and a whole bunch more. Her fun and upbeat writing style, her side splitting stories and her willingness to let us know we all learn by tripping over ourselves from time to time, make this book a wonderful read. But the best part really is that this book has a meaningful message and th…

In her book, Oh Shift!, Jennifer Powers leaves etiquette and shyness behind and tells it like it is when it comes to the way many of us live our lives – but refuse to admit it. If you happen to be the type of person who feels powerless to change your circumstances, THIS book is worth the 90 minutes it takes to read it! It’s like having the one friend who always tells the truth sitting right next to you. There’s no where to run, no where to hide! You CAN make the SHIFT and Jennifer tells you how

This book has a heartbeat to it. When you open it and look inside, you’ll see what I mean. I’ve never felt that a book’s design or style affected the experience until I read “oh, shift.” You can practically hear the author’s voice coming through the paper. The stories feel very fresh and current; not dated. It’s not flashy. Heck, it’s not even PC… But I like the edgy-ness of the author’s voice. She’s very real!
I just ordered a couple more copies to be sure I have them on …

You can (will) be a shift head after you read this “life handbook”. Go buy it, seriously. …Jennifer’s text forces you to REALLY REALLY think. …In less than a week I’ve faced 3 situations that were uncomfortable yet unavoidable. All weekend I kept a folded up copy of page 173 (“flip, find, freak”) just to try and apply the suggested techniques. Uh, they work. And my knee-jerk reactions to what occured, changed to a more proactive, directed response.

This book was given to me as a gift and I couldn’t put it down. Inspiring, funny (loved the humor) spiced with examples and anecdotes, the author tells it like it is. She wants to help you make a shift and start taking back your personal power and stop letting life’s bad moments spiral us out of control. I think she’s done it for me.
